Does it understand my accent or Malay meetings?
Granola handles professional English accents and local nuances with high accuracy. While it doesn't officially support Malay transcription, our tests show the AI still captures the meeting's essence to provide an accurate English summary, even when the conversation is a mix of both languages.
How is my data protected under Malaysian law?
Granola is very secure because it deletes your audio recordings immediately after transcribing them, so no voice files are stored on their servers. To ensure full privacy for sensitive company data, you can go to Settings and manually opt-out of AI model training so your meeting text remains completely private.
Which meeting platforms does it work with?
It works with virtually any application on your computer, including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and Slack Huddles. Because it records your system's audio directly without a bot, it can also transcribe webinars or phone calls as long as they are heard through your laptop speakers.
Is there a free version I can use forever?
The Free (Basic) plan is designed as a one-time trial and is limited to 25 lifetime meetings total. Once you reach this 25-meeting limit, you will need to upgrade to a paid plan ($18/month for individuals or $14/user/month for teams) to continue using the service.
